Fabulous mid-century British designed rosewood Console Table/sideboard designed by Robert Heritage for Archie Shine circa 1960.
The slim line table top is made from santos rosewood and contains 4 drawers which are raised on cast aluminium legs, a truly beautiful statement piece.
This item is the largest sideboard within the Planar range with other items including wall mounted tables (both 3 and 4 drawer) often with hot plates other items include under table storage and wall mounted cupboard with sliding door (also in stock).
The right hand drawer has a removable cutlery insert which provides further options on how this can be used, and as a result this is often used as a desk.
Archie Shine was one of the top British makers of up-market contemporary furniture in the 1960s and into the 1970s , and his pieces were retailed by Harrods and Heals of London and other top quality shops in the UK. Archie Shine pieces were expensive back in the day , and pieces such as this were always luxury items so not found in large numbers
